Corriedales on pasture at Bed and Breakfast

Using a blend of traditional and new farming practices we are building a way of life that cherishes and enhances the natural environment as it creates a livelihood for our family.

The desire to raise animals and plants as naturally as possible has provided the guidelines we follow.  Here at Rising Meadow Farm our main focus is on raising sheep, both for wool and meat. We raise these animals, as well as our beef cattle and goats, without the use of growth hormones and antibiotics.  Their primary source of feed is pasture with the addition of hay and real grains when necessary.  The herbs, flowers and vegetables in our garden benefit from the wonderful compost our farm is able to produce.  The commitment to this kind of agricultture is not only beneficial to the environment but we believe it is also beneficial to anyone who uses our products.
